Backend Software Engineer (E-commerce platforms)

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to maintain our first product — MICRO™. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience working with E- commerce platforms using Magento. THIS IS A FULL TIME, ON-SITE POSITION based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation will be negotiated.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm, design, implement, and roll out the next generation of our e-commerce platform — MICRO™, using Magento

  • Identify and help resolve threats and related issues

  • Make sure our platform is secure, safe, stable and meet all the security standards

  • Handle the back-end workings of the entire platform by PHP and MySQL integration

  • Work with a fast-paced team with a clear goal to achieve tasks within deadlines

Qualifications

  • Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area

  • 2+ years of experience developing and supporting online marketplaces, virtual stores, and digital transactions (Amazon, Etsy, Shopify)

  • Experience using Magento 2 themes and extensions for customization in addition to in-app and web app architecture and development

  • Interest in working full-stack, from optimizing database transactions to building distributed systems and front-end web applications

  • Skilled in PHP and MySQL with server-side API integration

  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

  • Skilled in Scrum or Agile development methodologies

  • Ability to work with small agile teams

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and creative mindset

  • Experience building third party applications, integrations and relationships

  • Magento Certified Developer (A plus)

 
 
 

Full Stack Developer (E-commerce platforms)

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to maintain our first product — MICRO™. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience working as a full stack developer on e-commerce platforms. THIS IS A FULL TIME, ON-SITE POSITION based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation will be negotiated.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure our platform is secure, safe, stable and meet all the security standards

Qualifications

  • Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area

  • 2+ years of practical working experience, ideally in full- stack development

  • Experience developing and supporting online marketplaces, virtual stores, and digital transactions (Amazon, Etsy, Shopify)

  • Skilled in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript

  • Have the ability to work with server-side and client-side integrations

  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

  • Skilled in Scrum or Agile development methodologies
